Obtaining a conclusion of sanitary-epidemiological station

Quite often, certification of products passing the Ukrainian customs control requires appropriate application from MHU (Ministry of Health of Ukraine) and presence of sanitary-epidemiological conclusion. This document provides complete information on imported products (in accordance with Ukrainian epidemiological standards), which ensures prevention of environmental pollution and compliance with all rules of sanitary-epidemiological hygiene.
List of commercial products contained in Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare of Population” (issued April 24, 1994 by Presidential Decree) provides the names of objects in accordance with FEACN (Foreign Economic Activity Commodity Nomenclature), which passed the sanitary-epidemiological expertise or require the further passage. Some commercial products, such as medicines, hygiene products, pesticides, chemicals for agricultural industry, etc., already have a certificate of sanitary-epidemiological norms. The others need to obtain a required certificate – in accordance with rules properly stated in “Conclusion of Sanitary-Epidemiological Expertise” (state number 05.03.02-03/52400 dated December 27, 2004).
Thus, products requiring mandatory certification are subject to control of relevant territorial epidemiological services and will be checked for parameters of sanitary standards. Issued sanitary-hygienic certificate and appropriate conclusion of Ministry of Health of Ukraine allow the import and further distribution of foreign products. Realization of these checks is only possible in regional epidemiological services.
