Certification of vehicles
To get the certificate for vehicle (special equipment, certificate of title) or spare parts, please call: +38 (044) 569-66-88, +38 (044) 569-67-12
Today, vehicles turned from luxury items into necessary and irreplaceable means of transport. Quite often, vehicles need repair or certain spare parts. It must be noted that spares appear in stores or shops only following the certification. This process is quite troublesome; so, we suggest you to trust the professionals knowing their job.
Significant segment of auto parts (both of local and foreign origin) need mandatory certification confirming their quality and reliability.
Alternative options may be applied to auto parts not subject to mandatory certification, while obtaining a voluntary certificate, which can also confirm the quality and reliability.
The following auto parts are subject to mandatory certification:
internal combustion engines and their components (pistons, rings, filters, injectors, spark plugs, etc.)
- steering parts
- parts of exhaust system
- suspension parts and shock absorbers
- brake parts
- auto glass
- wheels (disks and tires individually)
- electrical equipment
It must be noted that, except for auto parts, certification is also mandatory for fuels, lubricants, and car care products.
Since the end of 2006, Ukraine introduced mandatory certification of used cars. According to this procedure, any used car imported to Ukraine is subject to testing. Purpose of this procedure is to confirm that certified vehicle is safe for driver, passengers, other road users, and environment.
The following is checked during certification of used cars:
- general technical condition of the car (according to applicable Ukrainian standards), while focusing on:
- braking system;
- auto glass: integrity, transparency;
- lighting equipment;
- exhaust system of the vehicle;
Vehicle Certification Department provides assistance in obtaining the certificates, which confirm that new and/or used vehicles, farm machinery, water crafts, quadricycles, and spare parts for such equipment comply with standards, thus being safe for driver, passengers, other road users, and environment.
