Why do you need certification?
Ukraine shows fast development of markets, supermarkets, hypermarkets, warehouses, and specialized stores, which covered the entire country and became available to the entire population.
Thus, the first required item in maintenance of products is mandatory certification at import to Ukrainian market. This certification is listed on the basis of legislative acts of Ukraine, while determining the similarity of products to planned regulations. Special attention shall be paid to customs clearance. Customs clearance of goods imported to Ukraine is reviewed in accordance with “Customs Clearance Procedure for Imported Goods (Products) Subject to Mandatory Certification in Ukraine”, approved by Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Decree No. 446 dated May 14, 2008.
Mandatory certification
These products may include:
- Products of organic synthesis, dyes
- Inorganic chemicals: fertilizers, raw materials
- Semi-finished products, magnetic materials, household chemicals, photo and film materials, paints
- Rubber, chemical fibers, polymers
- Metal and industrial products
- Hard-alloy and electrode industry, non-ferrous metals
- Oil products: lubricants, fuel, oil
- Household goods and products for industrial purposes: abrasive materials or any instruments

All products are subject to mandatory check for safe transportation.
Voluntary certification
Voluntary certification is applied in case if your products are not included in the list of mandatory products. Thus, you will improve the competitiveness and marketability of the goods. It will be realized in non-regulated field – according to procedure agreed between supplier (applicant, manufacturer) and certification body.
You can independently (or by request of your customer, manufacturer) emphasize the parameters and standards to be used for adding the product to the total number of standards, and certification body, in turn, will compare the facts of product conformity.
